Bruce Bartlett Joins Capital Gains & Games Today!
Andrew, Pete, Troy and I are pleased and exceptionally happy to announce that, beginning today, Bruce Bartlett, who has made a career in Washington with his take-no-prisoners analysis on budget and tax issues, has joined Capital Gains and Games.
In case you’re not familiar with him, Bruce is the author of the New York Times best-selling book Impostor: How George W. Bankrupted America and Betrayed the Reagan Legacy, and hundreds of articles in national publications such as the New York Times, Washington Post, and New Republic.
Bruce comes to Capital Gains and Gains after serving for many years in prominent federal economic and tax policy positions including executive director of the congressional Joint Economic Committee, deputy assistant Treasury secretary for economic policy during the George H.W. Bush administration, and as a senior policy analyst in the White House for Ronald Reagan. He also previously worked for former Congressman Jack Kemp where he was instrumental in developing the Kemp-Roth tax cut enacted during the Reagan administration.
Bruce’s latest book, The New American Economy: The Failure of Reaganomics and a New Way Forward, will be published next month and is available for pre-order now.
